Some years ago, household work was back breaking and took much of the day. Water was fetched from a well, firewood for cooking had to be split to smaller pieces, and clothes were washed by hands.
Today, most of us just turn on the faucet for our water; we turn on the gas stove or electric stove to cook, and we wash clothes with a machines that automatically washes, rinses, spins them to force out most of the waters. We have many other devices that help us save time and effort these labor saving devices make our lives easier and give us time to do other things.
